About

I am an elementary school librarian in Southern Ontario with opinions and interests in many subjects. I share my life with my son who has blogged much longer than I at bastard.logic, my kitty Tommy, a couple of hundred school children, old and new friends, family, and an ever-growing group of followers in the land of Twitter.

My formal education consists of a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, a Bachelor of Education, and a B.A. in Philosophy.

I enjoy reading, writing, Scrabble, walking, cooking, photography and movies. I have a wide range of interests, which usually fall within the areas of history, philosophy/theology, politics, the arts, health and medicine, but can extend to anything that tweaks my interest.

As a librarian, equitable access to information is an important issue and, as a librarian whose training predates the Internet, I am an enthusiastic participant in the ever-evolving online conversation.

I hope you’ll be part of the conversation!
